About Us
Mum Annette & Anneliese's firm grip on the finance & overseeing the operation of the business with & Dominic all things baked including sales & new products.
We have recruited a small but well formed team who share our vision for local high quality products. Steve Wilson-Fforde is heading up our White van sales & organisation, aided by Mr Colin Waller, Tim Dube & Louise Radcliffe who can now been seen on the White vans at the various regular weekly pop ups, around the Stroud districts.
On baking:- Paul Richardson, Amber Moth & Becky Jackson.
In the Kiosk & on the market we have our Bread Ambassador Peter Holtmeyer-Cole aided by a team of rather well informed helpers.
HISTORY
It started with our sandwich shop too small to make the minimum delivery from a local baker, to the quest to produce high quality locally sourced ingredients for our own artisan bread. Having honed skills in the labyrinth of the Georgian terrace, with the challenges that brings, we managed to produced bread that has taken awards at the Tiptree World Bread awards & many other awards using the bread for sandwiches. More recently Baker of the Year 2016 at the BIA Industry awards.
After the death of Rod, husband & dad we, Annette, Anneliese & Dominic have put Rods plans into reality creating SALT Bakehouse Ltd.
The chaos of COVID, stopped wholesale in its tracks, ended the sandwich shop & lead to the arrival of the little white vans now visiting local villages and towns bringing bread & pastry to the masses! Moving onto only baking for our own outlets. We have now moved our baking to The Mill on Slad Road Stroud....we want to get the next stage right .......
